The past few months it's felt as though everything's been moving so slowly and I just can't seem to pick up the pace.
Sitting here, beating myself up, I find myself remembering the Aseop Fable of The Tortoise & The Hare. It's then that I realize that slow isn't bad . . . . . if I just keep going, moving forward, I'll get there in the end.

Beautiful! It reminds me of a Rembrandt or Caravaggio! And I know what you mean about the turtle pace...maybe spring can finally help us shake that off a bit? Lovely work and blog! I'm so happy you linked up to Kim Klassen's site -- I'm off to explore more of your beautiful blog. : )
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica for your lovely comment. It's dark, grey and raining cats and dogs here today but signs of Spring are starting to show themselves. It's amazing the magic a bit of sunshine can yield.

ReplyDeleteI love all of the dark tones. Google the symbolism of the turtle. I think you'll enjoy seeing just how wonderful this animal is. I posted an interview on my True North Arts blog and the featured artist and I talk about creative cycles among other topics. Check it out here: http://www.truenortharts.com
ReplyDeleteApologies to everyone who's participating in Texture Tuesday through Flickr. I'm able to view your images but can't log in and comment for some reason. x
ReplyDeleteI *have* to hold onto the thought that no matter how small, as long as I take at least 1 step, I'm still moving forward...right?
