This weekend consisted mainly of running errands and hanging around at home although we did enjoy having friends over to dinner on Saturday night.
Our buddlea bush has only just started flowering and I've been waiting anxiously for the butterflies to discover it. I headed outside with my macro lens and was pleased to find this little guy getting his fill of nectar.
What did you get up to this weekend?
Wow! So nice of the bug to wear the outfit that would best compliment your beautiful buddlea bloom!
ReplyDeleteAwesome macros. I got caught in the rain on Saturday AND Sunday was spent relaxing.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing shot! That is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI spent most of Saturday twisting wire, and part of it cussing.
Sunday I made a nice dinner, and dessert, just relaxin' :D
Great macro shot and I love the eyes of this butterfly. The budleas are perfect for attracting hummingbirds too.

Genie
Beautiful colours & great butterfly shot.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots, Kathryn. My butterflies always fly away when I get too close. How do you do it?
ReplyDeleteWe just worked around the yard this weekend. It was peaceful.
Gorgeous photo!
ReplyDeleteYou are queen of the macro-lens!
Love the contrast between the orange and violet colors!
I am a fan of butterflies, too!
Wow at that picture!
ReplyDeleteFantastic macro ... what lens did you use? (I'm a newbie with my Nikon but lovin' it!)
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful photos!
