Prompt: Forgiveness
Who have you forgiven this year and what was the journey like that brought you to forgive them.
There have been no big acts of forgiveness this year just the small everyday kind like. . . . .
puked up fur balls
*****
dirty dishes in the sink
*****
litter tracked through the house
*****
cat fur that seems to attach itself to everything
*****
the dirty socks my husband leaves in little piles on the floor
*****
or when he leaves the kitchen cupboards open
*****
letting the laundry accumulate
*****
my lack of cooking skills
*****
ironing piles
*****
being ill

Who have you forgiven this year?
Love this post Kathryn ... a very unique way at looking at forgiveness which is what many of us do every day ... little acts of forgiveness! And that photo ... well, just outstanding!
ReplyDeleteMy forgiveness has looked somewhat like yours, small things and sometimes myself for trying to spread myself too thin.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great eye to see this broken heart! I love it! There's a LOT of forgiveness going on in my little home....living in 400 square feet 24/7 is NOT easy. I live with "Messy Marvin". Yesterday after he showered/dressed and left the bedroom, I entered the room and had to shut 3 drawers and one door. Sigh. I straighten out his shoes umpteen times a day that he haphazardly throws by our door; they have to be in a neat line so it's easy to get in and out our door. Really, I'm NOT a neat freak; it's just that some things have to be kept neat and orderly in order to live in such a small space. But I'm sure I'M not easy to live with either! With my aches and pains, doctor appointments, nagging him, gosh we were made for each other! Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteAmazing photo! And the perfect image for forgiveness.
ReplyDeleteLove the image. My hope in 2011 was to find a way to forgive myself for all of my faults and shortcomings. I still have some work to do there.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful list of little transgressions. It's amazing what things we have in our lives that require just a small act of forgiveness.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with this photo...
ReplyDeletemine were all pretty small this year, too. and i'll take that as a blessing.
