Gobble, Gobble

There used to be lots of turkeys that would stroll through our yard when we lived in Connecticut but we typically don't see that many here in Virginia.


That's why I was surprised when I spied this little guy and a few of his mates making a beeline for the woods the other day.


It would seem that they avoided the Thanksgiving dinner table this year!

  1. Yes they did, lucky them! Not sure if Texas has wild turkeys or not, certainly not where I live on the coast though!

  5. Oh...we have wild turkeys everywhere here. In fact - I just heard that it's an 'epidemic'!!! What wonderful captures of these guys (or girls)!!

  6. We have a whole flock of the down on the corner of my road, I see them there almost every time I drive by. They are such funny birds!
