textured with 'simplicity'
I couldn't image a world without trees. I've often taken them for granted but they've always been there for me; grounding me, calming me, embracing me, sheltering me, reaching out to me, sharing life with me . . . . a true friend.
Maybe I'm drawn to the differences in us. While they stay in the same place year after year, putting down roots I find myself more mobile, more restless and bored easily by 'the same.
An awesome photo and edit, Kathryn. Love the outline of the tree branches.
ReplyDeleteIt's easy to become restless this time of year with little change in the scenery.
Love the POV on this and the texture creates a great mood. I used to shun barren trees as dismal, but the more I look, the more I see-and they can be pretty awesome caught in silhouette as you have done, or lit up against a setting sun. Well done. I like it!
ReplyDeleteLove this Kathryn, and your words! I find the trees have much more patience than I do. Or maybe, perhaps, they too are impatient and are wanting Spring as much as I . . . ; )
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderfully dramatic image!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful mysteriousness into the nature of trees. Love the upward perspective.
