I know Winter's not quite done with us yet but I've been feeling it . . . . . have you? The faint promise of Spring in the air. I find myself longing for those first signs of life, those moments when everything begins to wake to from its winter time slumber.
Talking of slumber, that kind of sums up my week. I'm not entirely sure what happened but I feel as though I blinked and missed most of it. I guess some weeks are just like that. I'm hoping to snap out of it and get creative over the next couple of days but I know better than to make any promises. Do you have anything nice planned this weekend?
Hey Kathryn. Very cool close up shot. So many details we might otherwise scoot right past. I'm feeling it, but I don't want to admit it. This has been like the best winter ever for me, and I know that March can turn around and bite so I'm hesitant, but hopeful. Have a great weekend. HOpefully it will linger vs. the rush of time the week was.
ReplyDeleteExquisite photo!
ReplyDeleteYour blog and photography are such inspiration to me.
Going to have a nice, quiet weekend of painting and collaging and sketching.
Hope your weekend is wonderful,
Mary
Yes - I completely understand, about the blinking and missing. With retirement, "weekend" as such no longer hold any special meaning since every day is really a "weekend". Not that I'm complaining about that :) Hope yours was a good one.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot - it looks like a tiny nest, for fairies perhaps.
Oh...how I know those kinds of weeks. First it's Monday..and then - all of a sudden - there it is. Friday is staring you in the face!! Love the image. Such a sweet little detail!
ReplyDeleteSome weeks are just like that. And yes, I can smell tiny bits of Spring in the ear, and that's a very good thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling that winter is almost over and it never really began...
ReplyDeleteKathryn, I am enjoying a visit to your blog this morning. Your artwork is so unique, and your photography is gorgeous. I love this simple sweet view of a resting plant - the texture and colors hold so much inspiration. I can imagine it in full bloom too. Today will be high 60s in NJ...I'm guessing plantlife will be very confused about whether to wake up or not :)
