New In The Studio

I had a great time at the Artist Evening on Friday.  Thanks to my friends who stopped by and the other local artists that I got to meet too.  It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours.

What wasn't so fun was the computer drama that my husband and I had this weekend.  I won't bore you with all the details suffice it to say that I came very close to throwing my machine out the window.

On a brighter note here's a sneak peek at some of the pieces that I enjoyed working on this weekend.

I've also been busy prepping canvases and journals and plan to have new items in my shop soon.  What fun creative things have you been up to lately?

  2. Well, I went to my metals class yesterday all ready to work on some hearts that I had already cut out, but I forgot them at home! haha

I was also invited to participate at our church in what the call the "Good Friday Experience". So I need to figure out a creative way to display a photograph (or several) of my interpretation of sacrifice or renew....thinking....more thinking.....hmmmm. ; )

  4. Love what you're working on. What medium is that again? Regarding the computer drama. Computers are great - when they work! lol
    Stay inspired!

  6. Oh, I completely understand computer frustration - they are magnificant devices when they work as expected but when they don't - oh, boy! Our whole life is on the PC - finances, my creative work - I watch all my TV online. It's a bad day in our household when there are PC glitches.

Lovely new work - really like the footprints.

  8. I was thinking of you this weekend and hoping Friday went well. glad to hear that it did. Love that footprint piece you're working on.
Hope the computer woes are a thing in the past. Love-hate those computer relations.

  9. Ah, yes, computers... can't live with them, can't live without them! They create more stress than they're worth sometimes. I really love the footprints Kathryn :^)

  10. Those feet are wonderful... I love the texture!

Why can't computers fix themselves by now? Or at the very least, if something goes wrong and you get an error message, why can't it be understandable, and not written in some kind of cryptic code?!?
My computer has almost collided with a window or two in its day.

  11. Computer and/or connection problems are the worst. I do hope everything is okay now.

Love the feet design. Nothing as exciting going on here at the moment.
