Half-brained thoughts, unfinished art, random scraps of paper with words scrawled on them, unread books piled high, a laundry pile that threatens to topple, a kitchen sink full of dirty dishes . . . . . . all of these can have me feeling as though my life is unraveling.
Then I turn on some music, head to the studio and in that moment, in the mess of it all, life is good.

ReplyDeleteArt is amazing isn't it, for what it gives us.
DeleteI think anytime we are creating - we are transported away from the the chaos and mess. Isn't it lovely? :D
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of magical when you get into the 'creative' zone. It's like being transported to another time and place.
DeleteUplifting thoughts, Kathryn. Art does take us to another state of consciousness...
ReplyDeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteYou are my kind of girl! After all I love mess, though my sink is always empty (I have a dishwasher).

ReplyDeleteWonderful post. I have the tendency to think positively. I usually wake up in the morning coming up with different reasons to feel satisfied with the life I have.
