The Rain Came

We've had some much needed rain the last few days.  I can't help but love . . . . .

how saturated the colors get after a good soaking . . . . .

how the green pops against the darkness of the bark . . . . .

how mushrooms burst forth with new life . . . . .

how the ground feels soft underfoot . . . . .

how creatures come out of their hiding places . . . . .

and woodland walks that let you experience it all.

  1. Love the green of that first leaf ... you're right ... the colours just after the rain are just so beautifully saturated. That wee tortoises eye is cool too :-)

  2. Awww, you got some great photos! Love that green moss and that turtle! Too cute . . . but that last one is precious!! And you are right, after a good rain and especially some lightning, everything always looks so nice and green.

  3. Love the "right-down-on-the-ground" perspective with the focus on those bright greens - I can smell the damp earth.
