Bird Fix

My husband and I plan to move in the next few months so we've been busy preparing our house to go on the market.  This has meant having to clear out and store many items including our bird feeders.  I have to say I've been missing my feathered friends but thankfully I had some photos from my UK trip to turn to to get my bird fix.

These images were shot during a bird display at Longleat Wildlife Park.

It's been a little crazy round here lately so I apologize if it seems I haven't been commenting as much as usual.  I have been stopping by your blogs and reading them though.

  2. Ah, I wish I could take photographs like this! They are stunning. We are on the coast of Maine, on vacation, and I've become obsessed with birds. The sight of ospreys hunting. The blue herons. A snowy egret. Cormorants drying their wings. I try to inscribe them in my mind, but a photograph like these would help!

    1. Thanks Lisa, isn't it funny . . . I wish I had your writing skills.

I can just image the birds in Maine, I used to love watching the comorants drying their wings when I lived in CT, for some reason they always made me smile.

    2. I love the cormorants. They are so silly-regal when they hold their wings out, like aged queens. I love to watch them dive as well. They stay down so long. The ospreys are my favorite though. Watching them dive straight down, wings folded, is just amazing.
