Do you have a hard time with self portraits?

  1. what a collection of ways in which you express how you see or feel about yourself. all the textures and colors leave me with wonder and able to add my own story.

i don't have so much of a hard time setting up for "self," but i have a hard time with the difference between how i really am and how i wish i was!

    1. Thanks Honey . . . I have a hard time stepping in front of the camera but this year I really wanted to push through the barrier and explore the idea of 'self' more fully.

  2. These are just fabulous, such an expression of your inner thoughts and feelings. I love the one with your hand over your mouth... you put me in mind of Georgia O'Keeffe in that one!

  3. Wow! All of these are so very different and outstanding in their own way.

I am not an artist so I have no idea about self-portraits! ;)

I hate selfies .... I am so not photogenic.....and that's pretty sad because I shoot alone and if I want a person I the shot ... well ... it's me! LOL

    1. It was interesting seeing them together, quite the journey with all the elements you talk about. I'd like to experiment with some of the digital images more but it's hard stepping in front of that camera.
