Blueprint

discarded long ago
tipped over the edge
I turned my back
unseeing you

and yet you remain

rusted and corroded
a chained anchor
dragging across
the blueprint of my dreams

  3. Sometimes person just can't get away from things by turning one's back. (I like Brian's idea of using a torch!!)

  4. Yes - we often turn our back because we are angry or hurt. Just turn around and forgive, let the anger go. (doesn't mean we had to let that person back into our lives) I found that by doing this, it is the only way to find peace. (now I just have a few more people to go… not sure "pride" will let me ;P

    1. I guess when you've been with someone for 9 years that's true. Even if that was over 14 years ago.

  6. Very effective but painful poem! I can think of a number of situations to which your poem might apply.

  8. Ahh, those olde chained anchors, hard to break free from. But it can be done! Thoughts and intention blast them to smithereens!

And I so LOVE that cloud photo, a beautiful reminder of the gift of nature and its ever-changing beauty.

Lovely spot here. I like your dogs and cats!
