A Book Of Poetry & Prose

I've spent the last couple of months working on the idea of self publishing a book of poetry and prose.  It's certainly not an easy undertaking but an interesting learning curve for sure.

Each year I like to challenge myself and try something new that helps me grow in some way.  So this is me . . . learning, growing and putting myself out there.  I'm hoping to have it completed early in the New Year.  Watch this space.

  5. Happy New Year my friend. Ok...when did you change the name of your blog? Probably in July when I was asleep. I'm known to miss the details on things like that.
What an endeavor you've taken on. I actually am able to write to express things, but oft it is just a release of emotions and stories too personal for me to share, at least comfortably. I suppose I write to try to see and understand.
I've always felt that I have zero understanding of poetry, but when I've read some things here that you've shared-whether yours or others, I have connected with it. Sometimes-more often than not. I think the two of us are parallel travelers. We have our own trails, unique but similar.
Wishing you a very happy 2014. Most of all I wish you good health and plenty of time for creativity and art.

  7. I'm so excited about this for you. I was a writer myself up until I got married and let someone convince me that I wasn't good at it and it had no value. Giving it up is one of the biggest regrets of my life. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your poetry. You are so gifted my friend and a blessing to so many people.

    1. Thanks Jane. You should shake off the negative words of others and listen to those that love and support you. I say write your heart out, be who you were always meant to be, do it for you, no one else. xoxo

    1. Thanks Lisa, I keep jostling with feelings of self doubt and the pushing myself to try. If I'm going to fall it might as well be forward right?
