Magical lines in your art and in the poem...fire and water...how to keep balance...I think we do, when spill it out on paper/screen ~ thanks for keeping an eye on me :)x
Thank you :0)
at least you are willing to swim in it eh? some will get no where near their fears and thus live with them always in their shadows. i love the vividness in the first bit there....
Ooh, ooh, ooh. That pic jumped right out at me! Wouldn't want to take a little dip in that though. Happy weekend to you.
Oh, this is stunning. Reminds me of a repeating dream I USED to have about fire. Your poem ALMOST takes me back into that dream!
How strange is that . . .
There was a time when I could no go to sleep. I guess I too was afraid of unconsciousness. I am glad this period is over. Very powerful poem, Kathryn!
That must have been horrible time, glad it's over for you too.
not sure i would want to go swimming in my fears :)
wow... you're bold enough to face your fears... i often deny that they're there...have yet to learn..nice new avatar as well...
Your words always lay bare the those things that frighten us - and by bringing them out into the open, give us the strength to face them. Love this mix of hot and cold in your image.
Thanks Brenda . . . you say the nicest things.
This is beautiful, the poem & the art is so evocative
Thanks Leanne, I loved the colors that came about in this image.
I love the contrast & that artwork is gorgeous ~
The color of the fears.. Swimming through the night... Beautiful
You find me wondering if fear of unconsciousness is worse than unconscious fear itself.Striking image to stir us up this morning.
I like the contrasts between fire and water, life and death.
Phew! This packs a solid metaphysical punch.
Thanks Kerry :0)
Amazing contrast, Kathryn!
both the art and the words left an impression.. well done
Thanks I love it when it leaves an impression.
this is so vivid, vibrant and evocative....beautifully captivated the vastness hidden in both life and death...
Thanks, so true.
the end comes as a surprise.. really powerful and true.
What a glorious painting! And your poem is perfection. Loved this!
I love short poems, I love this poem
Whoa! you're rocking my boat :-)Wonderful expression captured in both.ZQ
Thanks, never been told I've rocked someone's boat before. Love that expression.
Makes for restless sleep, doesn't it? I really relate to this.
Wow that artwork screams..so much said..I always dream in color and it fascinates me.
Thank you, I never realized that some people don't dream in color until a year or so ago.
Deliciously complimentary work, Kathryn and the cover of your book looks great too... With Best Wishes Scott
Thanks Scott, The book was an interesting challenging.
At least unconsciousness is gained! a subconscious awareness in screams of color.
