Harbor Moon

the moon harbors
slivers of secrets
as seagulls cries
pierce our conscience

and drifters, beached
fog-bound
under gravitational pull
of sandblasted thoughts
tumble
like unpolished stones

inland
dappled light rides
through canopies of ancients
weighted, earthbound

mourning the loss
of rugged wisdom
skyward limbs trembling
with the totality
of our ignorance, indifference
our own stupidity

  4. This really pulls at my heart. The loss of rugged wisdom, in so many things.

    1. It seems that way . . . I can be indifferent and ignorant myself, will have to try and change that.
