Memory Keepers

collecting stories
like the pages it creates
some fact, some fiction
each leaf holding memories
of the way things used to be

  1. I like the connection between the leaves and the pages of stories - each so prolific and yet subject to the seasons.
Thank you for participating in the tanka prompt on Real Toads.

  2. as long as we are making more memories along the way and not letting them just be the way things used to be....we have some very old leaves in some pages at my parents house...

  8. This is exquisite...the connection in the tree to the story and deep into the root of how things used to be...very effective layering here, Kathryn. I love the image as well. :)

    1. This was an image from last year . . . still waiting for our leaves to turn but the image seemed to go with the words.

  18. Well... the photo takes my breath away - and the words are a great accompaniment. Collecting, Holding... and we can never go back. Must move forward, which in this case, means they must fall to regenerate... :)
