"Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree." Emily Bronte
There were more intriguing images that I took during the month of September but as I sorted through them this was the one that spoke to my heart the loudest. I'd been waiting for Autumn like an excited child, my nose pressed up against the window pane. I can't help but smile when I look at this shot because it assures me that Autumn has finally arrived.
Linking up with Photo Heart Connection.
Autumn indeed. I love the simplicity of the single leaf, the contrast of warm and cool colors, and the beautiful textures of bark, moss, and lichen.
ReplyDeleteThank you and good luck with your move next month.
DeleteThe gift of autumn - how can we not be excited by its colorful arrival?

ReplyDeleteHi friend. yes, autumn is here and your image proves it...tho' I'm liking that it's still pretty lush. My lawn is covered with yucky yellow and brown leaves already. But for you, i'm happy. Love the line about the nose pushed to the window. Kids...and dogs do that.
ReplyDeleteI'm crawling out from under the load of work and hope to be at least checking in on blogs a couple times a week. Hope the weather is treating you well.
