Bird Watch

There continues to be a lot of activity at the bird feeders, especially after the ice and snow storm that came through here the other night.  I'm used to snow but the freezing rain and ice, not so much.

The starlings are back en mass.  They make so much noise and are quite the bully's.

It's a good job we have a number of different feeders otherwise I don't think the others would get a look in.

It doesn't look like it's going to get above freezing for the foreseeable future.  Isn't it funny how we miss the sun when it snows yet come the middle of Summer we often complain about the heat and humidity?

  3. Yes, lots and lots of bird activity that you have captured. I like the one where the bird has his beak open, caught in the middle of some kind of complaint or order :)

  6. These are wonderful bird shots. I especially like the 3rd and 8th of the two starlings sitting on the railing. I've not had much luck at photographing my birds - never have my long lens handy...

  10. I like that shot of the bird shooting his mouth off. Seagulls and crows do that around here. And just for the bird lover in you, there's a bald eagle in the area and the other day I saw him soaring around. Of course I would have totally missed it if a woman didn't point it out as she was capturing a mini film on her iphone. My excitement level was lifted from 2 to 4 for approximately 30secs. Not bad for a person who ain't a birder.
Hope your freezing rain melts away. Yuck.
