I've been so busy trying to get the house all squared away that I haven't had time to get our bird feeders out. I've been missing my feathered friends so was happy when I discovered these photos I took during my visit home to the UK earlier in the year.
Don't you just love the colors on display?
I've spied some cardinals so far but will be interested to see what other birds will be visiting during the different seasons. What are your favorite feathered visitors where you live?
wow, those colors are amazing! this year, for me, its the cedar waxwings. they have been here all summer... i have always wanted them in my yard.
ReplyDeletei bet soon, you will be seeing all kinds of new feathered friends!
Can I say all of the above? Really I love them all, but I really need to get a feeder - I miss the one from my old house and you know how it is - some things get put on the back burner for let's say - football shoes etc.! haha
ReplyDeleteThat second photo is just spot on beautiful Kathryn, well they both are, the second is just my favorite! (been thinking about you as my knee is giving me a bit of a fit again-no crutches yet)
Such a great burst of color and beautifully composed. Just what I needed today. I hope you and Bryan are settling in your new home. Hope to get something off to you in the mail early next week. Big hug.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane, we're loving our new home. It feels like a good move for us. Hugs back.

ReplyDeleteI am so glad your move went well, I have been packing a lot recently but just helping my "kids"
Did you get your art supplies out yet??? :)
Have a lovely day, cheers, T. :)
Beautiful photos! I need to get a feeder. It's been on the list for awhile. One of the best parts of our vacation this summer in Maine was bird watching every morning -- egrets, osprey, herons, gulls, cormorants. Loved them.
ReplyDeleteAmazing colors - it's really quite hard to believe that those are feathers - the colors are so saturated and "out there".
ReplyDeleteNice pictures! Are you back to creating? We have lots of birds on our feeders, chickadees, titmice, cardinals, wrens, gold and purple finches, nuthatches. We also have hawks and wild turkey(they don't come to the feeder!).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors and beautiful bird:O) I wish I had bird feeders I did long ago before my doggie but he goes nuts with the squirrels:O) I do have some that stop by cardinal and blue jays:O)
