Cascades

Had a wonderful time in Oregon celebrating the 4th of July with family.

One of my favorite days was visiting the waterfalls near Cascade Locks.

I could have spent hours just sitting next to them listening to the water fall.

Returning from a trip always feels like getting back to reality with quite the bump but it feels good to be home.

  3. Love the water framed by the arch and pillars - a wonderful combination of natural and man-made. And love your gorgeous smile! Glad you had such a great time with family for the holiday.

    1. Thanks Brenda, it was one time I remembered to look at things in a different way. I loved how the man-made bridge framed the falls.

  4. Oh we LOVE our Waterfalls :)

I guess you drove part of the old Highway? :)

Haven't been to the "Falls" since Christmas, definitely time to go again :)

Hope you had lots of fun with family in our little part of the world, cheers, :) T.

  6. What a gorgeous spot! I will have to seek it out next I am in Oregon. I too was there over the 4th in Glide, near Roseburg after a week in Portland!

  7. Certainly looks a gorgeous spot to relax and simply listen to the sound of water ... the roar and soft gurgles alike. Like what you done to the appearance of the blog too ... very nice and lovely to see you at long last Kathryn :-)

    1. Thanks Geoffrey, I just ordered some new business cards and it felt like the right time to change things up on the blog too. I have a feeling it's not to everyone's taste but I like it.

As you can tell I don't usually share images of myself on my blog (too self critical) but sometimes you have to push your own boundaries.

  9. Well, hello you!
What a lovely picture of you! I think this is the first time I have ever seen a full image of you.
    So nice to see you!!
And you lucky bug... I wanted to head down to Oregon this summer but it never happened. I LOVE the beaches down there. Have only been once, and it was a long long time ago, but I still remember it like I was just there.
I need to go back. Perhaps I will have to plan a roadtrip for next summer.
