Claytastic

You may have noticed that I've been a bit absent lately.  In part it's because I have had no 'words' but also because I've been getting my 'clay on' at Whistle Stop Clay Works.  I just finished a six week class with my instructor Heloise and have had so much fun.  Those who warned me that it was addictive were right.  I've signed up for an additional six weeks of studio time so I can continue creating. 

 I love that exploring a new medium opens you up and exposes you to new possibilities . . . . .


. . . . . and it's the perfect tonic for the winter time blues.

    i like that first container...the straps of steel on the texture make for a really cool contrast.....

      It's so deliciously tactile . . . been stressing out about not being able to write anything though. Guess I just need a break from it, hopefully it will come back.

    I am in awe of the clay work that you have done - I find it hard to believe that this is your first time working in this medium. How wonderful that you have been able to find another artistic outlet.

    Welcome to the clay world!!! We must have been in tune with the clay gods at the same time as I made a little skeleton cup with similar straps in my last load. Your work is looking fabulous; love your rabbit!

      Thanks Bjorn, I hope so to but the words are remarkably absent at the moment. It's as though they came to an abrupt stop. :(
