Pernicious Energy

 
an introduction
the shake of a hand
two palms encircling one
a power play

reading your energy
with his hands, with his eyes
politeness preventing you
from pulling away

yet as he read yours
so you sensed his
nefarious, foreboding
the darkness behind the smile

    yikes...there are def those people that you can tell right away that they are not up to any good...i am glad for that sense but it can be pretty dang uncomfortable knowing it while you are shaking hands with them....
