I've found myself drawn recently to exploring the idea of pods as wall hangings.  This is one I recently glazed. 

 

 

Glazing for the most part is my nemesis.  Hoping that this one turns out ok.  Below are a few other pieces I've been working on.

What's New In The Studio?

My foray into clay has been keeping me pretty busy these past few months but I managed to find some time to play in my studio today.

 

 

 

A few weeks back I'd prepped several journals and added a design so they were ready for painting.

I think layering paint is one of my favorite aspects.  Seeing a blank canvas (or journal in this case) be transformed by color never fails to surprise me.

 

There are still several steps left before these will be ready but it has been fun working on them so far.

Just a few new pieces that I recently completed.  I'm finding myself drawn to the abstract so it will be interesting to see where that leads.

 

 

I've also been busy working on a commissioned seahorse triptych for a friend.  The image isn't the best but will give you some idea of what it looks like.
