Silence

Silence can create a huge void or form a strong bond, be a sign of great wisdom or illustrate someone's ignorance, be comforting or all consuming, signify confidence or shyness, imply agreement or disapproval, indicate tranquility or signal danger, demonstrate sadness or joy, show peace or inner turmoil. Ssssh, listen. What do you hear?

  1. Oh Kathryn! I absolutely love this. I am so struggling with all of these possibilities that are in silence.
Wow... you just opened me up with this.
    Thank you.

    1. Becky, it always means so much when someone connects to something I've written. Thank you.

  2. Oh, I hear peace and joy . . . this is so ironic - the last instagram photo I posted which is the first one on my scavenger hunt this week said, "sitting and listening to the real sounds of silence." Great photo and ponderance of silence.

  3. Yes, I can hear the texture of the silence - the soft swish of the grasses within the gentle breeze. Beautiful.

  4. I love silence, the opportunity to let your mind wander in your own secret garden. It saddens me that some people are so scared/ intimidated by it when it can be the most comforting and empowering moment in a day.

  5. It amazes and awes me how you are able to so perfectly blend text and image. I love this, and the timing is perfect as I'm trying to find the peace and strength in silence, in sitting still, for once.

    1. Thank you Lisa. So many find silence uncomforable but I've often sought it out and find great comfort in it.
