your body stirs
the mattress dips
between wake and sleep
you find me
moving back
into your open arms
two puzzle pieces
the perfect fit
there we lie
becoming one
our breaths regulating
as sleep reclaims us
the mattress dips
between wake and sleep
you find me
moving back
into your open arms
two puzzle pieces
the perfect fit
there we lie
becoming one
our breaths regulating
as sleep reclaims us
That's lovely and I've tried taking photos of "a bed" several times without success. You nailed it. Thanks for all your kind messages about PP. She's hanging on, so I'll take it. I've had several snuggles over the past few nights-and this verse sort of reminds me of that.
ReplyDeleteahhh you got to love those early morning times just being together in the bed and letting the world wake up around you...a very warm place...smiles.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image & words.
ReplyDeleteso soft and sweet and romantic... sigh...
ReplyDeleteThat dream-like state, between "wake and sleep" - you have captured the beauty of that togetherness in your words and image.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brenda, dream-like describes perfectly that state between wake and sleep.
DeleteOh this is beautiful. I love the sensuality, and I feel myself breathing to the rhythm of your poem.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary, what a lovely comment.
