Touch Me In The Morning

your body stirs
the mattress dips
between wake and sleep
you find me

moving back
into your open arms
two puzzle pieces
the perfect fit

there we lie
becoming one
our breaths regulating
as sleep reclaims us

  1. That's lovely and I've tried taking photos of "a bed" several times without success. You nailed it. Thanks for all your kind messages about PP. She's hanging on, so I'll take it. I've had several snuggles over the past few nights-and this verse sort of reminds me of that.

  4. That dream-like state, between "wake and sleep" - you have captured the beauty of that togetherness in your words and image.

  5. Oh this is beautiful. I love the sensuality, and I feel myself breathing to the rhythm of your poem.
