North California: Part One

We had a fantastic vacation in North California.  Our rental was perfect with the most beautiful views of Trinidad Harbor.

One of our excursions took us to Fern Canyon.  The sheer scale and richness of green was amazing.  The worm like creatures that we found cascading down one of the walls freaked me out just a little though.

Afterwards we stopped at a deserted beach where we came across a sculpture (pictured top center).  Getting into the spirit we decided to make a couple of our own.  Mine was made out of a crab's claw and my husbands, a circle of shells.

The icing on the cake was spotting some Roosevelt Elk on our way home, especially as there were a couple of babies as part of the group.

I'll be back tomorrow with some more photos to share with you.

  4. I loved that chair made out of driftwood, It was huge, very cool. Not sure what those wormy things were, looked like little centipedes or as one girl put it "like someone got back from Africa and vomited"!
