The Frog & The Golden Ball

Ten days ago the humidity broke (albeit briefly) so I was able to go for a walk at the local nature center without my camera constantly fogging up on me.

With all the frogs I encountered, not to mention the sun shining high in the sky, I felt as though I'd stepped into some kind of fairytale.

To lighten my load I'd only taken my macro lens so the next time I visit I'd love to see what images I can capture with my zoom lens.

Temps have been back in the 90's this past week with horrible humidity again so I'm longing for it to cool off.  How's the weather been in your neck of the woods?

  1. I really like the atmosphere you created with these Kathryn.

Here -- the heat finally broke last night with some rain and we're looking at 70s this weekend. Yay!

  4. I am so surprised the frogs didn't jump away if you were that close using a macro lens! When I tried to capture frogs (by photo I mean!) they would hop away if I got anywhere near them! Maybe the hot, humid weather made these frogs sluggish! *wink*

    These are gorgeous captures!

  5. Amazing photos :)

Sorry you are experiencing high humidity :(

We are having a lovely Indian summer week (but we know the rain will be here soon and last for 8 months) so enjoying it while we can :)

    Have a lovely day, cheers, T. :)

  8. Okay, so you know the weather I'm having, although today...wow...not as humid and I wasn't lunch for hundreds of skeeters, just a handful (which I can handle). I love, love these Kathryn, how fun! Your macro lens looks like it did a fabulous job, what zoom would you use next time?
